History

Located in Swanage's main square and close to Swanage Bay, The Fish Plaice has been serving traditional fish and chips for more than 20 years.

Having taken over in 2004, local brothers James & Oliver Kirkpatrick have continued this tradition. Their emphasis on using excellent produce together with a friendly service has proved a recipe for success, as the business continues to grow.

Loyal customers come from far and wide to this beautiful yet isolated part of rural Dorset again and again for The Fish Plaice's delicious homemade chive and parsley fishcakes, Maris Piper chips, crispy battered fish and mushy peas.

Through continuous reinvestment in equipment and staff training the shop's priority to continually improve its product ensures many more years of success to come. We endeavour to use the best products possible and are always looking for ways to imporve what we do.
